Help us decrease violence and improve the social conditions for youths in Chicago.
Our goal is to raise $15,000 from individual donations this fiscal year. We need your help!
Building on the successes of the 2017 season, we want to grow and do more! Thanks to YOUR support we've been able to accomplish so much in south side communities:
94.7% of parents surveyed believe that Lost Boyz programming helped prevent their child(ren) from being a victim of violence.
We served 121 kids and young adults through our MVP and Successful Youth Leaders (SYL) programs, including 40 youth who gained professional skills via paid positions as Sports Journalists and Youth Assistant Coaches.
On average, participants in our 2017 Winter Clinic Program increased their school grades by 0.2 points (i.e. a B- to a B).
We added a new girls softball team to serve girls age 10 and under.
We continued strengthening our staff, hiring candidates from the local community.
We received grants from After School Matters, Springboard Foundation, Prince Charitable Trusts, Laureus Sport for Good Foundation, and others to expand our community impact and operating capacity.
We won the Atlantic/Allstate Renewal Award, a competition for local organizations driving positive change in their communities.
We partnered with AmeriCorps agency Public Allies who will provide dedicated program coordinators for our Tutoring and SYL programs in 2018.
